Annabelle's story
Annabelle is a girl who can win over your heart in no time! She is about 1-2 years old and full of exuberance! She has needed a little down time after transfer, but has settled in very nicely with her foster. She is definitely part husky - the fur, the talking, the energy level, the looking for running places - and the other part(s) of her, we are not totally sure. What we do know is that she is VERY smart, house-trained, likes her crate and loves to chew on bones and toys (an an occasional towel from her crate) and the Kong treat dispenser! She enjoys walks and absolutely loves other dogs, and she is learning to be OK with cats. Her foster mom has a cat that Annabelle liked to chase at first, but the cat is a veteran with dogs, so Annabelle was a little confused when he wouldn't give chase and let him be after that!
Annabelle likes to go for walks and enjoys being outside She will REQUIRE a tall fence and a person/people who will take her on adventures. She will not do well simply as a yard dog at all. She adores the dog park and loves to meet other dogs. She has boundless energy and will want to be with another dog or with someone who has some time to spend with her. Each new place has been a transition (from the street to the vet, vet to transfer, transfer to her foster mom here in CO), so odds are she will like consistency, exercise, and companionship. She is getting closer and closer to being a completely amazing dog, and we are looking for the right match for this special Annabelle!
